I review two romance novels that feature young women training to be physicians. They are both highly realistic because they are both written by practicing physicians. We learn about the pressures some ethnic minority women face as they navigate both their professional and personal lives in medicine. We learn a lot and we have some fun too.

A blogpost published on Medscape has brought a small avalanche of criticism and attacks to a distinguished colleague. Can we just address the issues we agree or disagree with and avoid the personal attacks and unfounded assumptions? I share a few thoughts.
